
WEST SIDE STORY

After its triumph at the Teatro Sistina in Rome, the Musical-Kolossal 'West Side Story' comes on a summer tour to Italy's most impressive archaeological arenas, stopping also in Lecce, Saturday 30 August, on the big stage of Duke's Quarries.
Directed and adapted for Italian audiences by Massimo Romeo Piparo, the show brings to the stage the timeless love story inspired by Romeo and Julietbetween the tensions of two rival gangs in 1950s New York. With a legendary soundtrack by Leonard Bernstein and played live by the orchestra conducted by Maestro Emanuele Friellothe show promises strong emotions and unforgettable atmospheres.
On stage more than 30 artists, including Luca Gaudiano (Tony), winner of Sanremo Giovani and 'Tale e Quale Show', and Natalia Scarpolini (Maria), already starring in the musical Cats.
Produced by PeepArrow Entertainment in collaboration with The Sistine, the show boasts choreography by Billy Mitchelloriginal set designs by Ricardo Sanchez Cuerdathe costumes of Cecilia Betona, the lights of Daniele Ceprani and the sound of Stefano Gorini.
